Unit 2 – Application of Physical Intervention Skills (Refresher) • Understanding the risks of physical intervention and how to reduce them • Refreshing and practising disengagement and physical intervention techniques • Safe holding and escorting methods Hands-on practical training with a qualified physical intervention trainer, assessed by a multiple-choice exam (30 questions), a filmed practical demonstration of the techniques and a short question-and-answer session. Before you book • You must hold an SIA Door Supervisor licence • A valid First Aid certificate is required for this qualification – this is covered, as Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work is included in your course price • Bring valid ID in line with SIA requirements (1 Group A document and 2 Group B documents) • A good standard of English is required (equivalent to CEFR level B2) • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for the practical sessions On successful completion you will receive the Highfield Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher), allowing you to renew your SIA Door Supervisor licence and continue your career in the security industry.
